If a class is full you will be placed on a wait-list and a new class/time may open depending on

Hip Hop for Kids

 Dancing Baby Monkey Music

2mon - Pre-Walking
This class focuses on fun and appropriate movements for building baby’s body and brain together with their caregiver. You and baby will dance together and with others to make meaningful connections. You will explore dance concepts using multi-sensory props and instruments. Sing nursery rhymes and move to a wide variety of music. We will demonstrate how to support and encourage tummy and floor time so baby can move through early developmental movement patterns. We work on building a strong foundation during their first year of life in a nurturing and playful way.    10-week Winter/Spring session.
Clothing
Adults: comfortable, non-restrictive clothes and bare feet.
Infants: onesie and bare feet.

         

Parent/Toddler

Walking – 3

Children begin their dance experience with their parent or primary caregiver in a safe and supportive environment by exploring movement skills and concepts activities. A wide variety of music, props, and rhythm instruments will be used in this playful and learning environment. In addition to being a lot of fun, parent- child class is a great preparation for very young children to eventually participate in a creative dance class on their own Enrollment max 6

Creative Movement

Ages 3-5           

This class is for students who are ready to be without a caregiver. Students will use concepts such as time, space, shapes and directions to explore dance. Using stories, props, imagery, games and types of music to encourage the development of strong bodies, self-confidence and self-awareness. BrainDance exercises will be incorporated into warm up every class to increase coordination and our capacity to learn and grow as dancers.

Dance Movement

Ages 5–7
This class focuses on creative self-expression. Students will learn common dance steps allowing them to improve strength and coordination.  Each class is tailored to meet the physical and developmental abilities of each age group. BrainDance exercises will be incorporated into warm up every class to increase coordination and our capacity to learn and grow as dancers

Hip Hop 4  Kids

Ages 5-7

Hip Hop is a great way to get kids moving! This class is an introduction to hip hop dance for the younger student. Using games and music, the class focuses on rhythm, musicality and basic footwork

 

Hip Hop - Beginning/Intermediate

Ages 8-14

This Hip Hop class is open to all kids. The class is formatted to be accessible to students without dance experience, while offering enough challenging combinations for more experienced students.

 

Hip Hop - Intermediate/Advanced

Ages 8-18

Teachers approval required.

This Hip Hop class is open to Intermediate/Advanced. For students with a high level of proficiency and understanding of movement and alignment concepts, who are ready for a deeper development of their personal expression as dancers.

 

Contemporary I -Beginning/Intermediate

Ages 8-11

This class focuses on providing young dancers with a strong foundation of dance technique, etiquette and understanding. Use of imagination and creativity is encouraged. Students will develop a high level of focus, coordination and skill. Student are strongly encouraged to take elective classes of ballet or conditioning.

Contemporary II - Intermediate/Advanced

Ages 12-18

Teacher’s approval required.

These classes focus on providing young dancers with a strong foundation of higher level of dance technique, etiquette and understanding. Use of imagination and creativity is encouraged. Students will develop a higher level of focus, coordination and skill. Student are strongly encouraged to take elective classes of ballet or conditioning.

 

Pre-Ballet 

Ages 3-5

A fun and creative introduction to ballet class. Exploring ballet technique & vocabulary through dance concepts that nurtures the whole dancer. Musicality, improvisation, and skill development are all a part of this developmentally appropriate ballet class. BrainDance exercises will be incorporated into warm up every class to increase coordination and their capacity to learn and grow as dancers.

 

 Into Ballet I

Ages 6-8

This class focuses on basic ballet technique, proper body alignment, French terminology and musicality. Basic turns are introduced, and the flow of a traditional ballet class is established. BrainDance exercises will be incorporated into warm up every class to increase coordination and our capacity to learn and grow as dancers.

This class is for beginning and first-time ballet students.

 

Ballet I/II

Ages 8-10

This class focuses on basic ballet technique, proper body alignment, ballet vocabulary and musicality. Basic turns are introduced, and the flow of a traditional ballet class is established. BrainDance exercises will be incorporated into warm up every class to increase coordination and our capacity to learn and grow as dancers. 

This class is for dancers who have already had a strong introduction to ballet technique. It would also be appropriate for older first-time dancers or as introduction to ballet for students with backgrounds in different dance disciplines. Student are strongly encouraged to take dance conditioning.

 

Ballet III/IV

Ages 10-18

Teacher’s approval required.

Barre and center work become more advanced as movement sequences increase in complexity. Proper use of the head, focus, and musicality are emphasized. Traveling steps and choreographic combinations increase in complexity. Strengthening exercises for the legs and feet are incorporated in every class to begin pointe work. The body becomes better conditioned for advanced ballet work by increasing mobility and elasticity.

This class is appropriate for intermediate students, and requires special permission for first time dancers. Student are strongly encouraged to take dance conditioning.

Pointe (Pre-Level I & II) 

Ages 12-18

Teacher’s approval required.

Focus on pre-level I & II pointe work, advanced turns and jumps, detailed use of the head and upper body come into focus in this level. We will pay attention to fine details including breath with movement and performance expression. Our repertoire of ballet steps will expand alongside our knowledge of the precise translations of French ballet vocabulary. Concentration and memory are tested with greater volumes of choreography and a longer class time. 

This class is appropriate for intermediate/advanced students who have had significant ballet experience, and those students who are strong enough for pointe work. Students are strongly encouraged to take the Dance Conditioning Class as well.

Dance Conditioning for Dancers

Ages 8-18

It is very important that dancers are strong, physically fit, and able to endure the rigors of dance performance. This conditioning regime in progression ballet technique (PBT) and imagery allows dancers to opportunity to strengthen their bodies to compliment their technical and stylistic dance training and prevent injuries.

 

Teen/Adult Ballet

It’s never too late to learn ballet! If you have no ballet experience, or it’s been years, this is the class for you. This ballet fitness class will lead you through barre practice and center work focusing on proper form as you gradually build on the basic positions, correct body alignment and an introduction to ballet terminology. This class is designed for the novice dancer with no previous experience required or for the student who want to refine their technique at a basic level. BALLET SHOES REQUIRED

Teen/Adult Hip Hop

This Hip Hop class is open to teens and adults. It is designed to challenge and entertain dancers that are new to the scene. Our instructors provide classes where students will develop body strength, core conditioning, flexibility and stamina. Building upon the basic foundations of Hip Hop and technique, students are taught fun choreography and are provided an engaging classroom experience.

CLEAN SNEAKERS REQUIRED

Teen/Adult Modern

This is a unique class, first you'll experience a full posture check, followed by a really thorough warm up and dance exercise. Includes BrainDance, floor & center work, technique, movement combinations, creative improvisation and choreography. A break and transformation for the body, mind, and creative spirit.
Comfortable workout wear, like jogging pants and t-shirt.
Bare feet is ideal or a pair of socks is fine too.
